Here it is….what therapy is all about right? Many people think that psychotherapy involves blaming the parents for the challenges of the child. It is more accurate to say psychotherapy can take time to explore the roles, rules and patterns of the family of origin and how these patterns are interpreted and acted upon in the lives of the functioning system. Every family is a system. Understanding the system and the self within the system can often be very enlightening for people to tend to struggle with being themselves when they are around family or notice themselves recreating patterns from their past. This type of therapy utilized Family Systems Theory and can be very helpful in supporting the differentiation process. Want more information or feel like this may be a good fit for you?
